The Precision Rifle WorkshopLLC
is a series of police sniper and general topic Law Enforcement schools held annually in the Rocky Mountain west for Law Enforcement and military personnel. Sniper courses from basic to instructor level are offered. Sniper related courses are rigorous, physically demanding schools. They are NOT the typical 8-5 type courses. We also teach civilian courses now but be prepared. You won't get manicured ranges, coffee delivered to the firing line or sympathy for your blisters. We will however, teach you to shoot.
The "core" sniper school is a five day, 50-hour course that will fulfill the requirements of a “basic sniper school” with advanced material to include moving targets and long range shooting exercises. There are currently 6 basic sniper courses offered in 2012 (click here for more). The "core" school is a prerequisite for our advanced police sniper schools of PRW Scenarios, Advanced Sniper, Advanced Sniper Instructor, Cold Weather Ops and Counter-Sniper. Coming NEW for 2012 is a tactical shotgun course, a GPS/Landnav clinic, a High Angle shooting course and airborne ops course for LE snipers.
Additional courses of PRW Scouting, PRW Fieldcraft and PRW Mil-dot/rangefinding are also offered periodically during the year. Course Tuition Cost may include range fees that vary from year to year. Instructors are highly qualified and are active and retired members of SWAT sniper teams or military units.
Sniper courses are open to current police sniper personnel, supervisors and/or qualified candidates. General topic LE courses are open to all law enforcement personnel. Reserve your spot early! Demand is high and the mission is critical. Payment can be made on-line through the PRW store.
Being a police scout/sniper is a highly specialized occupation that requires exhaustive training to hone skills that are fortunately seldom used but when called upon, critical to problem solving in modern day SWAT operations.
The PRW instructor staff is pulled from the current ranks of SWAT sniper teams for intense commitment to students, who will benefit from years of tactical training in both military and police ranks.
Due to security concerns and the sensitive nature of the position held by PRW instructors, additional information about individual instructors is not released. Credentials can be released upon request to PRW directly.
